It is a children’s bank account which was launched in 1995 as part of the Bank’s commitment towards creating An avenue for parents to save up for their children’s future needs like Higher Education, while also encouraging the young ones to develop a saving culture as they grow up.

The popularity of this account in the Kenyan market over the last 10 years of its existence has been outstanding and this is characterised by the tremendous growth in the product’s portfolio that currently has over 35,000 accounts opened countrywide.

The Jumbo Junior account has its thrust directed towards organisation of fun activities for its account holders through the Jumbo Junior Fun club which hosts fun days in December each year for all Jumbo Junior account holders countrywide.

In addition to this, the product also seeks to avail discount opportunities for its account holders at select Bookshops, uniform distributors and children’s hospitals countrywide. Here, a parent simply produces their child’s Jumbo Junior Account card each time they visit these spots, and they become eligible to receive discounts.

Children also receive birthday cards from the Bank on their birthdays and a free ele-bank in which they can put together their money before coming to deposit them at the Bank with their parents during any time of the month.
